I have had several types and brands of float tubes. My favorite company is "Buck's Bags". I have two "colts", they are very durable and handle great. I had a problem with my old colt, and Buck's repaired it. Their customer service is excellent.

My favorite rod is the Sage 8'6" two piece 4 weight rod.
However, I would like to get a three piece rod.

I have several reels. My favorite is the Orvis Battenkill. It has a great drag and is very durable.

Went fishing with friend Doug Meyers at the Truckee River just out side of Reno Navada, I caught a 21 inch Brown Trout on a nymph.

Went Float tubing at Hobart state park in Carson City Navada.Fly fishing was great caught fish on steamers, nymphs and dry flies.Rainbows were 12 to 14 inches, Brookies were 6 to 12 inches.

My wife and I had our 20th anniversary. We went camping at South lake in Elko Navada. I got to go fishing for a couple of hours in the mornning and it was fantastic on both days caught trout over 20 inches and small mouth Bass over 4lbs. All caught on steamers fast retrive for trout and a very slow retrive for Bass.

10/26/02

Went fishing in Verdi with my bud Doug Meyers. The water is very low. Look for pockets with fast moving water.

I caught a lot of small rainbows ranging from 10 to 14 inches. I was using olive hairs ear and small bead head nymphs. Doug was getting hit on streamers.

Went on mens fishing trip to Elko at South Fork Lake Doug Myers and his son Steve. We had a great time camping despite the very cold temperatures

the fishing was excellent. The power of prayer brought us large trout.

The fly of the weekend was the beadhead woolybuger.

Our Dog Chloe Fishing
