Things that will help you catch more fish

Above Seine
If you do not have a seine you can go to the hardware store, get a paint strainer, and keep it in your pocket.
When you want to check water for insects, slip strainer over your net.

Below is my fly tying "togo" box, that was custom made for me by my friend Fred Graef. If you don't have something like this, you can get a shoe box and fill it with a few inexpensive tools, a few hooks and miscellaneous materials.

Remember, only keep as many fish as you will use. If you don't eat them please put them back. Bring a camera and don't assume the neighbor might want some fish. Let them catch their own fish.
If you are a catch and release person, respect the rights of others to be able to keep some fish. If it is illegal to keep fish in the area you are fishing, and you see someone fishing illegally, call fish and game and let them handle it.

The best way to catch fish is to check for insects in and on the water. Use a seine and determine the size, type and color of the insect.
If you do not have the right fly, that's where your "togo" fly box comes in handy. Take the time and tie the fly you need and you will catch more fish.
